Noise health surveillance is recommended for workers exposed to high noise levels.

The Control of Noise at Work Regulations

HSE (UK) has guidance on when action should be taken. Exposure to excessive noise can lead to loss of hearing.

Noise health surveillance is a combination of completing a questionnaire and undergoing a hearing test (audiometry testing). This is done at the start of the role and afterwards at intervals for as long as one is still exposed.
